NŪVO (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
NŪVO is a trading name of Nūvo Health Limited, a company registered in Northern Ireland under company number NI738970, with its registered address at 48 Bannfield, Ballymoney, BT53 7RD, United Kingdom.
For the purposes of the UK GDPR, we are the “data controller” of the personal data you provide to us. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at concierge@nuvohealth.uk.
The data we collect
Depending on how you use our website, we may collect:
- Identity and contact data — your name, billing and delivery address, email address and telephone number.
- Order and transaction data — details of the products you have purchased and the value of your orders. We do not store your full payment card details; card payments are processed securely by our payment provider.
- Account data — your username, password (stored encrypted) and order history, if you create an account.
- Technical and usage data — your IP address, browser type, device information and how you interact with our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Communications data — the content of any messages you send us and our replies.
How we use your data, and our lawful bases
We only use your personal data where the law allows us to. The main lawful bases we rely on are:
- To perform our contract with you — processing and delivering your orders, managing payments, handling returns and providing customer support.
- To comply with a legal obligation — for example, keeping records required by tax and accounting law.
- For our legitimate interests — running and improving our business, preventing fraud, and keeping our website secure, provided your interests and rights do not override these.
- With your consent — for optional marketing communications and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Marketing
We will only send you marketing emails where you have asked us to or purchased from us and not opted out. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by contacting concierge@nuvohealth.uk.
Who we share your data with
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted third parties who help us run our business, including:
- Payment providers, who process your payment securely;
- Delivery and courier partners, to fulfil your order;
- IT, hosting and website service providers who support our platform;
- Professional advisers and authorities where required by law.
All such providers are required to keep your data secure and to use it only for the purposes we specify.
International transfers
Where any of our providers process data outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses, so your data receives an equivalent level of protection.
How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above. Order and transaction records are generally retained for six years to meet legal and tax requirements. Account and marketing data is kept until you close your account or withdraw consent.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies to make it work, to remember your basket and preferences, and to help us understand how the site is used. Essential cookies are always active; non-essential cookies are used only with your consent. You can manage cookies through your browser settings at any time.
Data security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encryption of sensitive information and secure, access-controlled systems.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Request erasure of your data in certain circumstances;
- Object to, or request restriction of, our processing;
- Request the transfer of your data (data portability);
- Withdraw consent where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these rights, email concierge@nuvohealth.uk. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you have concerns about how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can put things right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
